This page explains what happens to your email address if you join the ILXR list. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect

Your email address, and nothing else. We do not ask for your name, your address or your date of birth. Our host records the approximate country a signup came from, which we use only to know where people are waiting.

Why we collect it

To send you one email when the Arch is lit and the campaign opens. That is the only reason. We are relying on your consent, which you give by entering your address and which you can withdraw at any time.

What we will not do

We will not sell your address, rent it, or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. We will not add you to any other list. We will not email you about anything other than the launch.

Who else sees it

Our website host and our email provider process addresses on our behalf, under contract, solely to store the list and deliver that one email.

How long we keep it

Until the campaign has been and gone, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. If the campaign does not happen, we delete the list.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, and we will do it. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. If you would rather not wait for an email, write to us and we will remove you.

If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
